Change or Rot?

Adapt or die? Have you noticed how some people seem to be stuck in the past? Anais Nin said, “Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death.” You can’t stand still in life, or remain trapped in a victim state.

Stunted growth is great for bonsai trees, but not for people. “Developmental psychology” is the scientific study of systematic psychological changes that occur in human beings over the course of the life span. Originally concerned with infants and children, the field has expanded to include adolescence and adult development, aging, and the entire life span. People who remain emotionally locked into world views and philosophies that they have essentially and logically outgrown, are usually conflicted, unhappy, and rotting away emotionally.

Guilt, the manipulation of others, the fear of change, and a vested interest in a static existence will undermine your relationships and mental health, and sabotage your success and development in the future. In my experience, we often need to exceed one or another pain barrier in order to be launched from our cozy, yet rancid nests into the exciting unknown. Most of us are addicted to our comfort zones, and we need those defining moments, often imposed upon us by things over which we have no control, in order to grow.

Rather than wait until the pain of remaining in your present situation and maintaining your current philosophy exceeds the pain of change, why not preempt that scary event, and gradually move yourself up to the next level? As we get older, we are regularly faced with options to change, and it’s only scary when one lacks support, information, and preparation. You can’t fight a modern war with a bow and arrow, and of all the tools at our disposal in life, your most important and valuable is your philosophy. Beliefs and interpretations that served you as a young adult seldom work when you hit middle age, for example. Values change.

It is easier to hide from the truth, quit, stick your head in the sand, overlook important issues, and flee confrontation than to fight. It is easier to compromise, make excuses, and roll over than to stand up for what you believe in, even though it will make you unpopular and cost you money, because, at the end of the day, you have to look in the mirror and confront yourself. The most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself, and if you don’t like and respect yourself, you will never accomplish anything worthwhile in life. Face facts and fight for the truth, honor, and reality. In the end, it is worth the blood, sweat and tears, and you will die with a smile on your face and the knowledge that you died a man, and not a worm.

Take a good, rational look at your beliefs and values, objectively examine your philosophy and world view, and ask yourself, “Is this mindset helping me or hurting me? Does it make me happy and assist me in self-actualizing, or does is sabotage my success?  You have many options and alternatives. Do my beliefs make me a victim or a victor?” It’s always  time to break free from restrictions, limitations, and to launch into the stimulating freedom of choice that we all have, yet seldom use. Welcome change. Embrace it. Discard old ideas as you would dirty clothes. Don’t carry the stepping stones with you up the mountain to your castle. Open your mind, and be prepared to move away from any people who would have you remain in a mental prison.

It’s never too late to create a new, wonderful life of happiness, peace, accomplishment, joy, and exhilaration, regardless of your age or circumstances.

The Main Reason Why Your JV Brokerage Isn’t Growing

If you had a guarantee that you could make tens of thousands of dollars in passive income per month if you worked 10 hours a day, five days a week, for just one year, what would you do? The key is the word, “Guarantee”, right? If you were convinced beyond any doubt that you would be able to retire in one year, would you put in the time and effort?

Most people are so skeptical and have such low self-esteem that they don’t BELIEVE it is possible to retire in one year using Joint Ventures, so they treat their valuable JV brokerage business like a sulky stepchild with halitosis and oily hair, just throwing it a few bones when they remember to do so. They tend to treat their goldmine JV business like a lottery – buy a ticket once a week and stick it in the drawer, “but don’t expect to win nuthin’, Earline.”

The fact is that if you put consistent, absolute, focused, concentrated, enthusiastic energy into ANYTHING over a reasonable period of time and you have a “never quit” and teachable attitude, you can accomplish almost anything. Especially when you have a proven system with all the support and experience you find at DollarMakers. Joint Ventures are nothing new and we have a twenty-year track record of success. Our “No money, no risk” approach, along with our huge database, training, support, motivation, coaching and built-in JV opportunities is the best horse you ever rode.

People hedge their bets – they are involved with multiple schemes and dreams, all of which eat into their time, like having sixteen pot plants and only enough water to keep four of them alive. Nothing ever grows and they remain poor and frustrated. Put all the water into one plant, give it all your attention, and before you know it you’ll be a real life version of Jack and the Beanstalk. OK, before you whine, “all your eggs in one basket”, remember that successful JV brokers have multiple streams of passive income, but they take very little time.

If you sincerely want to retire in one year, focus EVERYTHING on your JV business; use ALL the tools, systems, coaching, and opportunities available to you that we offer, and you can’t fail. Put in the time and commitment, follow instructions, and get rich. It’s really that simple. Even if you don’t believe in yourself, you can believe in a technology that makes millions of dollars every day. Simply follow instructions. Become a DollarMaker. It’s not too late!
